Hi! I’m Ms. Shantel. I really love the special bond I get to build with each child and their family. It means a lot to me when kids can relate to my own life experiences, and I try to create a space where everyone feels understood and supported.

 

Working with children of all abilities has helped me grow so much as an educator, and I do my best to meet each child’s unique needs with patience and care.

My favorite part of the day is circle time — I love asking open-ended questions and hearing the thoughtful (and often hilarious!) answers the kids come up with. My approach is pretty simple: I treat every child the way I’d want my own to be treated.

When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me watching sports or spending time with my family and friends. I’m excited to keep growing in early education and continue this journey.
