Video Contest! Win a Cash Prize

Dec 1, 2023

A video contest designed to give more public attention to the importance of school attendance.

Gainesville For All is searching for the next video superstar!

Gainesville For All was created to seek systemic solutions to community challenges linked to race and poverty.

The video should communicate "why school attendance is important."

Contest Rules:

  • Eligible for K-12 students in Alachua County School District.

  • Students are encouraged to participate as individuals or in teams of four or less.

  • Videos should be captured in an MP4 or MOV format.

  • Videos should highlight the healthy decisions that young people make daily, including positive activities and behaviors. Be creative!

  • Entries will be screened by members of the GNV4ALL Education team and shared on social media platforms and local traditional media.

  • Once all videos are screened by the GNV4ALL panel, the top three will be announced via "FaceBook live" in early February as part of a public service campaign.

The contest is designed to give more public attention to the importance of school attendance. School absenteeism and tardiness have become problems of near-epidemic proportions both locally and nationally.
